Hi there! I'm Terrence Burke, the guy behind the Wump Mucket Puppets. I was bitten by the "puppet bug" as a boy growing up in the Boston area in the mid-1960s and was captivated by the characters on the TV programs Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Captain Kangaroo, and Sesame Street.
Puppetry popped back into my life in 2001. I found that it's a fun way to combine my interests in theatre, music, and puppet design. My mission as an artist is to share laughter and joy with our world.
The puppets performed their first show in 2010, in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Northside. Since then, I have performed my original stories, songs, and silliness for thousands of children at libraries, schools, museums, and festivals.
Over the years, Wump Mucket Puppets have appeared on numerous guest segments on the radio and television. We were featured on PBS too! Thank you for your interest in my puppetry. I hope to see you at one of our shows or workshops.
